Coaching isn’t just for the elite, here at Depot Climbing we believe it’s for anyone who wants to improve, no matter what stage of your climbing journey you are at.

1 on 1 Coaching Sessions
After you’ve told us a little bit about your climbing goals, we’ll match you with one of our expert coaches who will work with you to build a session plan that will be tailored to suit your goals.
This could be one session to pick up some simple tips, to a block of sessions designed to identify, work on, and implement new techniques and skills.
Training Plans
If you’re looking for a training plan with a little more autonomy, while being guided by our expert coaches, a personal training plan might be what you need.
Fully customised in 12-week training blocks, with a focus on climbing techniques, skills, and conditioning; you will receive a full TTP (technical, tactical, physical, and psychological) training cycle, prepared and delivered in person.
Who needs coaching?
The simple answer to that is anyone who has a goal! No matter what stage of your climbing journey you find yourself in, coaching could be for you.
Perfect for achieving new difficulty levels, addressing mental challenges, utilising strengths, improving on weaknesses, and preventing injury; whatever your goal is, we want to hear it.
But we aren’t just satisfied to listen and say ‘oh that sounds cool…’, no, we want to help you reach your goal and some!
It all starts with you telling us your goals, whatever they may be; from building the foundations early in your climbing career to pushing your grade barriers as an experienced climber. Coming back from injury or in the post-partum period? Grade plateaued?
We will tailor your plan to meet your needs, and then we’ll be there to guide you through it every step of the way.

How the program works
Step 1
Tell us your goal. It’s as simple as that. Fill out our online questionnaire and we’ll match you to the right coach for you and get in touch via email to arrange the next steps.
Step 2
Initial assessment. Once we’ve matched you with a coach, we’ll arrange an initial assessment to make sure you are comfortable with the program and you can start to build a relationship with your coach. After this assessment, we’ll email you with a proposed coaching plan tailored to your needs.
Step 3
Depending on your goal, requirements and suitability we’ll then work with you to create a series of privately coached sessions designed to get you climbing to where you want to go.
Step 4
We’ll work with you every step of the way to review your plans and sessions to make sure you get the most out of your plans. We want to get you to achieve your goals as quickly as possible, and when you come up with a new goal, we’ll be right there with you.
Initial Assessment Booking
Once you’ve told us your goal and been contacted by one of our expert coaches, it’s time to book an initial assessment. This can be done using the booking form here or by calling the centre on 0113 531 7485
Our assessment sessions run Sunday evenings, between 19:00-21:00. If you require a different time slot, please call the centre to discuss further.
