Gable and Pillar – FRCC

The FRCC have made another massive stride forward with this new guide to Gable & Pillar, the first in the new series (Buttermere & St Bees will follow shortly; CCL036) that will eventually comprise of 9 guides to the Lake District. The size and format is the same as in previous guides but in place of the old crag diagrams we now have a fantastic set of colour photo-topos which make route identification a doddle; also included are a great set of colour action shots (they really do make you want to go a climb up there despite the walk!), some nice historical black and white shots and a comprehensive history – can’t wait for next summer.
