Working with Access Sport to bring accessible Climbz sessions to Depot Sheffield.
Through their Changing Sports climbing programme, Access Sport have helped provide funding and support for equipment and training to aid us in offering accessible and inclusive sessions and share the joy of climbing with everybody!
Climbing is an excellent way for participants to experience the transformational benefits of community sport.
Access Sport is working with multiple climbing wall partners to offer adapted and sustainable disability climbing and bouldering offerings, and help make climbing centres more inclusive and welcoming to all.

What is Climbz by Access Sport & NICAS?
Access Sport has collaborated with the National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes (NICAS) to help upskill, train and equip climbing centres across the UK to deliver inclusive, pan-disability climbing sessions.
Using climbing and bouldering to introduce disabled young people to the life-changing benefits of climbing, Climbz creates adapted and sustainable pan-disability climbing sessions.
With a focus on those aged 5-25, as well as those with long-term health conditions, sessions are bespoke to suit the community’s needs.
The partnership between Access Sports and NICAS also extends to the development of NICAS Ascend, of which Depot Climbing is a proud supporter, to bring disability inclusive climbing and bouldering sessions as part of the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme.

Climbz Pan Disability Bouldering Sessions
When? Taster Event Sunday 2nd August // Every Sunday (coming soon)
What Time? 14:00-15:00 (Ages U18) & 16:00-17:00 (18+)
Age Range: U18 & 18+
How Much? £8 per person (includes shoe hire + chalk)
Group Size: 1:4 (1 instructor to 4 participants)
All under-18 participants will require a registration completed by a legal parent or guardian. A school/accommodation manager may also complete this and will need to complete it before the session.

Before booking, please ensure you have read the logistics information above to ensure you understand the registration process and supervisor form required to take part in a Climbz session. This will ensure you arrive ready for the session without delay.
