Depot Climbing Academy
The Depot Climbing Academy is our performance pathway for young athletes, tailored towards a competition pathway perfect for those looking to become competition climbers.
Our next Open Days will be in Depot Sheffield on the 21st of March, and BIG Depot Leeds on the 11th of April 2026.
These events are for those aged 7-12.

Depot Climbing Academy Open Day
Depot Climbing Academy is stronger than ever, and we are looking to add more young athletes to our competition climbing pathway. We will be hosting an Academy open days in March & April 2026 at the following sites on the stated dates:
Depot Sheffield: 21st of March Bouldering
BIG Depot Leeds: 11th of April Bouldering & Roped Climbing
Our Open Days are an opportunity to meet the coaches, climb some fun blocs and learn more about the Academy and the commitments involved.
Please note, these open days are for climbers aged 7-12 years old.
Outside of our Open Days, our committed coaching team has been working hard behind the scenes, and whilst we are not actively recruiting new Academy members outside of the above date, we are always happy to receive registrations of interest.
We’re looking for kids who are:
- Already competing or have an interest in doing so
- Passionate about climbing
- Keen to learn new skills
- Receptive to coaching
Please be aware that spaces on our Academy team are limited, and registering interest does not guarantee that your child will be able to join. Our Head Coach will review all requests and make decisions based on suitability and availability.
