BBC’s at BDM

On Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th of January, we will be hosting the British Bouldering Championships right here at our new state-of-the-art facility!

This does mean some slight disruption to the centre during the week of the 20th of January as we close off the Comp Wall & Gallery bouldering areas to prepare for the event.

On Saturday the 25th, the centre will be open as usual with reduced bouldering, and on Sunday the 26th the centre will close to the public from 5pm.

Accessing BIG Depot Manchester

We are on a large industrial estate, accessed via a security gate.

Please follow the steps below to gain access, and exercise caution on the industrial estate as it is a busy area with HGV vehicles in operation.

Please park considerately of other centre users and our neighbours and follow the one-way system around the industrial site.

NICAS Climbing

Our new, mixed-use, state-of-the-art climbing centre offers both NICAS climbing and NICAS bouldering.

The National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) is a nationally recognised climbing pathway for junior climbers aged 7+, with 5 Levels to work through, each confirmed with a certificate of completion.

These courses are designed to introduce participants to climbing through a structured programme, for any ability level to build the solid foundations of a climbing journey, such as climbing techniques, safety awareness, and personal progression.
