SOCIAL CLIMBING
Alongside our coaching sessions for adults and juniors, we have a range of social sessions because we firmly believe that climbing is for everyone, and is better shared with friends!
That’s why we have a range of instructor-led social sessions that are free with entry to anyone who may want to join. From making new friends and climbing partners to the simplicity of being social, join us for a range of social climbing sessions.
Although instructor-led, these sessions are sociable and informal. If you’d like to learn the skills to be signed off to safely climb unsupervised in our centre, follow the Classes link below.

Blue Light Night Social Climbing
Every Tuesday, 7-9 pm is Blue Light Night; a social session for Emergency Services workers of all abilities who want to climb and socialise together.
This is a coach-led climbing session, with a focus on building new climbing partnerships regardless of gender or background.
As a social session, we encourage you to arrive up to 20 minutes before the start of the session to enjoy a free tea or coffee and get to know an awesome community of like-minded, strong women who are keen to challenge gravity.

Women’s Night Social Climbing
Every Wednesday, 7-9 pm is Women’s Night; a social session for women of all abilities who want to climb and socialise together.
This is a coach-led climbing session, with a focus on female climbing styles in climbing.
As a social session, we encourage you to arrive up to 20 minutes before the start of the session to enjoy a free tea or coffee and get to know an awesome community of like-minded, strong women who are keen to challenge gravity.

Social Night
Looking for a free social event for anyone? Look no further than our Social Night sessions, happening every Thursday right here at Depot Birmingham.
As with all of our community-building social climbing evenings, we kick things off with a brew (on us!) to break the ice and energise us for a fun-filled session, hosted by one of our expert instructors who is on hand to pass on any casual coaching tips you might want to know.
Join us for an inclusive-of-all social climbing evening to meet like-minded climbers and make new friends.

LGBTQ+ Night
For anyone who identifies in the LGBTQ+ community or their allies; a free-with-entry social session led by our awesome team. No booking is required – just turn up on the night.
We also offer free tea or americano/espresso drinks to anyone who is joining the session and would like to meet other members of the community from 18:30, to create new friendships and build community.
