Climbing in Leeds
Here at Big Depot Leeds, we run great clubs for our younger climbers. All abilities are catered for and we provide all the necessary climbing equipment.
From absolute beginners to those competing at the highest standard; we have expert tuition on hand. All of our instructors are DBS-checked and NSPCC Child Protection trained.
Read below for a full list of all the climbing sessions we have available, suitable for ages 1 through 14.
Our sessions are the perfect introduction to climbing – they also make a great day out with the kids and are an excellent opportunity to try a new activity.
Combining all three elements of roped climbing, bouldering, and auto-belays, our sessions are designed with fun and confidence-building in mind, under the guidance of our expert instructors.

Holiday Club Sessions
Looking for a fun, engaging, and educational day out for your young ones during the School Holidays?
Big Depot Holiday Camps are back for the 2023/24 school breaks. Your children will spend over 5 hours climbing, abseiling, bouldering, and crafting with our expert, fully qualified instructors.
They will come away having improved their team-building and problem-solving skills, all while having fun on the climbing walls!

Wild Climbers At Depot Big Depot Leeds
Now available to book at Big Depot if you have a child aged 4-6, who is ready to climb independently with an instructor, then NICAS Wild Climbers is the ideal choice!
It’s a fun, game-orientated program that aims to introduce young children safely into the indoor climbing environment, developing their awareness of climbing movements, improving confidence, and creating a grassroots pathway into additional climbing activities.

Kids Club At Depot Big Depot Leeds
This is a casual climbing club running every weekend. Run by our experienced instructors these are fun, friendly, and a great way to simply go climbing for those aged 7+.
Our experienced instructors have a library (?wealth) of games and challenges to help young climbers develop their climbing skills and gain confidence.
These classes are open to all abilities and suit those looking to discover the joys of climbing through fun and games.

NICAS Climbing Courses at depot Big Depot Leeds
Supported by our experienced and qualified coaches, participants will develop their climbing skills within a structured environment, working their way through the NICAS Climbing award scheme.
Focused on cultivating a lifelong involvement in climbing, the scheme teaches climbing techniques, terminology, equipment use, safety, and etiquette while providing a record of personal achievement.
Assessment is ongoing throughout each level; participants are awarded a certificate for each level they successfully pass.
